Simon Say was born and raised in a Roman Catholic family. He converted to Protestanism in June 1997, being convinced that Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6). Simon holds a Masters of Art degree in Christian Education from Singapore Bible College. A local preacher with the Chinese Annual Conference of Methodist Churches (CAC), Simon also received discipleship and leadership training from Youth With A Mission (Singapore) and Haggai Institute (Maui) respectively.
Having held careers in building management, then international sales and business development for sixteen years, Simon was called to full-time ministry in 2001. He served then as Children Ministry staff at Kum Yan Methodist Church. Currently, Simon is a member of the pastoral team at Kum Yan, and heads the Children and Family Life Ministries. He also serves as an associate trainer with Scripture Union Singapore and is a church resource contact for Focus On The Family (Singapore).
Simon’s passions include disciple-making, building strong families and helping churches develop strategic plans for ministry. His vision is to see the Church of Jesus Christ properly discipled and restored to its biblical roots through God’s life-transforming Word. Presently, Simon’s desire is to see families setting up family altars and Bible Study in their homes. Simon is happily married to Huey Ming, his wife of seventeen years and is the father of a bright and active son, Zachary, aged eleven.
